Welcome
I’ve always loved to draw and paint ever since I drew mice all over my mom’s white suitcase at age three. I would spend summers on my grandparent’s Minnesota farm where they were known locally for their massive garden. My Grandpa especially liked when I painted his prized (County Fair!) begonias.
I attended MIAD for four years (Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design) where I received a BFA in Illustration. I then did what many people seem to do with their degree- I went to work in a completely different field. My family owned a chemical and water treatment business which I helped to run. Then the deaths of three family members within a year, made me rethink what I wanted to do with my own life.
I started painting again as a way to heal. The pleasure of creating art again was very peaceful and spiritual. We sold the business and I began working at a prestigious Wisconsin art gallery. My employer and coworkers encouraged me to start showing my work. It then began selling quickly and I became passionately aware that creating my own art is what I want and need to do.
With the encouragement of God, family, friends, and customers, I am now traveling on a personal journey I thought that I would never take.
Peace!
